Assignment Title: Job Specifications and Job Descriptions of related fields
What I learned: In this assignment I became familiar with different job descriptions in all areas that could be potentially related to Nutrition. Some of the jobs I was familiar with but some where new to me. For example I did not know that a doctor that works in a hospital is called a hospitalist.
Reflection to assignment: Being familiar with other job descriptions that are related to Nutrition is very important. By reviewing the list of job descriptions it gave me the appreciation of how many jobs it takes to build an entire organization.
Relevance to the profession: Being a dietitian is a part of the healthcare team. The healthcare team would not be possible without all aspects of the team. It is important to know the different job descriptions to really appreciate the work that it takes to make a well rounded organization.
