Assignment Title: ADA Evidence Analysis Worksheet

What I learned: In this assignment I learned the affect that Calcium with or without vitamin D would increase the risk for cardiovascular disease.  Supplementation of calcium or calcium and vitamin D increase the risk of myocardial infarction by 31% in participants from five different studies. I learned how to critique an article and pick apart data with statistics knowledge.

Reflection to assignment: This assignment helped me review my statistics knowledge and look at an article from an evidence based approach. 

Relevance to the profession: As a clinical dietitian it is part of the job description to use evidence based knowledge. Clinical dietitians should be consistently be keeping up with current research and providing patients with the most current practice.
