Assignment Title: Myocardial Infarction Case Study Presentation
What I learned: In this assignment I learned the prevalence, risk factors, and procedures that need to be done with a Myocardial Infarction. In the case study we evaluated his background information and anthropometrics. We estimated his estimated energy and protein needs and came up with and intervention, PES statement and monitoring plans for the patient.
Reflection to assignment: This assignment gave me good practical experience of doing a complete case study. It was also good presenting the work to improve my public speaking skills.
Relevance to the profession: Case studies are part of an everyday workday while working at the hospital as a clinical dietitian. Dietitians also give presentation on disease states and risk factors hopefully to provide prevention of ending up in the hospital.
